Bathroom quotes, without the awkward visit.
Show us the room. Talk through what you'd change. Our AI reads the tile area, fixture sizes, waterproofing scope and tapware while you describe what you want — and a licensed tradie signs off the quote before you see it. No site visit, no waiting two weeks for a paper estimate.
How bathroom quoting actually works
Camera on. Walk through. Talk through what you want. A licensed Australian tradie signs off in under an hour.
Bathrooms are the second most quoted job on Quotefor.au and the one where homeowners are most likely to be quietly overcharged. The reason is simple: most bathrooms look the same to the untrained eye, but the cost varies wildly depending on waterproofing scope, tile substrate, fixture relocation and slab access. A licensed tradie can spot the variables in two minutes; an AI trained on 6,000+ Australian bathrooms can do it in 30 seconds.
Our vision models read your wall tile area, floor tile area, fixture positions (vanity, toilet, shower screen, bath), waste line locations, and whether your shower has a hob or is fully level-entry. From there we estimate demo cost, waterproofing scope (membrane-bonded vs sheet), tile substrate (cement board vs villaboard), plus the labour-hour multiplier for awkward access — bathrooms on upper floors with no balcony cost more for skip-out, and our model factors that in.
What you get back is a real quote, not a chatbot guess. Itemised, GST-correct, signed off by a tradie licensed in your state, valid for 30 days. If you accept, the same tradie does the work.
What our vision model scans for

Tile area, wall and floor
We measure your wet-area tile coverage in real time against fixed reference points (door width, fixture height). Accurate to ±0.3m² in typical bathrooms.
Fixture positions and waste locations
Vanity, toilet, shower waste — we map their current positions so we can quote relocation costs correctly. Moving a toilet adds $800–$1,400.
Substrate condition
We spot signs of existing waterproofing failure, rotten timber, and tile drumminess, and flag them for the tradie's review.
Style and tier preferences
Talk through finish level. 'Matte black tapware, frameless screen, terrazzo floor.' The AI files each preference against the right line item with a target price.
Every bathroom quote, itemised.
Indicative line items. The AI scopes which apply to your specific job — and the licensed tradie signs off the final pricing.

Bathroom quotes, answered.
Things homeowners ask before they book. If yours isn't here, the AI will answer during your walkthrough.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
From quote acceptance to handover: 3–4 weeks for a refresh (no waterproofing reset), 5–8 weeks for a full rebuild including waterproofing membrane cure time. Premium wet-rooms with bespoke tile selections can run 8–12 weeks. The quote includes a realistic timeline.
Do you handle waterproofing certification?
Yes. Every wet-area renovation we quote includes membrane waterproofing to AS3740 with a certificate from a licensed waterproofer. The cert is required for insurance purposes if your bathroom ever leaks, and we hand it to you on completion alongside the plumbing and electrical certs.
How accurate is the AI tile measurement?
We're within ±0.3m² on standard bathrooms (under 8m²), and within ±0.5m² on larger ensuites. The tradie reviewing your quote will rerun the measurement against the camera footage if anything looks off, and adjust the line item before the quote goes out.
What's the cheapest way to update my bathroom?
Re-tile the wet zone only, replace tapware and vanity, keep the toilet and shower screen. We call this a 'refresh' tier and it usually lands at $8,800–$14,000 for a typical 4–6m² Australian bathroom. The visible upgrade is significant; the waterproofing membrane stays untouched, which is where most of the cost lives.
Can I keep my existing bath/shower?
Yes — the AI will identify them during your walkthrough and you can mark them 'keep' or 'replace'. Keeping the existing shower base (and the waterproofing under it) is a major cost saver. We'll only quote new waterproofing if your existing membrane has failed or you're replacing the shower base.
Do you handle strata bathrooms?
Yes. Apartment bathrooms in strata buildings have stricter waterproofing and noise requirements, and we quote those uplifts upfront (typically $1,200–$2,400 extra). We can also handle strata committee approval paperwork on your behalf if needed.
What's not included in a quote?
Premium tile selections (we allow $50/m² as standard — anything above that you supply or we quote separately), structural work (e.g. moving a load-bearing wall), and asbestos removal if present in pre-1990s homes. The AI flags potential asbestos visually and we quote a separate hygienist test if needed.
