Privacy, plainly.
We collect the camera walkthrough you give us, your contact details if you book a job, and standard analytics. We don't sell anything to anyone. Here's the long version — but the short version is: we use what we need to quote you, and nothing else.
What we actually have on you.
Two categories: walkthrough data, and contact data.
Walkthrough data. When you point your camera at a job and talk to our AI, we receive: the video stream, audio of your voice, and the AI's scoping decisions. The raw video and audio are deleted after 30 days. The structured quote data (line items, dimensions, the scoped scope) we retain indefinitely so you can come back to your quote later.
Contact data. If you accept a quote we ask for your name, email, phone number and address, because the tradie needs them to do the job. If you don't accept a quote, we never ask for any of these.
Analytics. Standard server-side page analytics (which pages were visited, in aggregate). No personal-level tracking. No third-party trackers (no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
- We don't share your data with insurers, marketers, or third parties beyond the tradie doing the work.
- We don't store credit card details — payments are handled by Stripe under their PCI compliance.
- We don't use your walkthrough audio/video to train AI models. The vision model is trained on a separate, consented dataset.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can: request a copy of all data we hold on you, request deletion, and lodge a complaint with the OAIC. Email privacy@quotefor.au to exercise any of these. We respond within 30 days.
This is a placeholder summary. Final policy will be reviewed by legal before launch.
