Quotefor.au is a free, no-account, browser-based renovation quoting service. You point your phone camera at the job — kitchen, bathroom, carport, deck, roof, solar — and talk through what you want. Our AI scopes the work in real time, builds an itemised GST-correct quote, and a licensed Australian tradie reviews and signs off before it lands in your inbox.
We work across ten major home-renovation categories and every Australian state and territory. Every quote is built around the same line-item structure as a traditional tradie's paper quote — but it costs you nothing, takes under a minute, and never requires anyone to drive to your house.
If you accept the quote, the tradie who reviewed it does the work, and they're the named party on the workmanship warranty. There's no broker layer in the middle. We make our money on a small platform fee on completed jobs — not on quote volume.
Why we exist
The Australian renovation quote process has been broken for thirty years. The tradies hate it (it eats their week), the homeowners hate it (slow, opaque, inconsistent), and the variance between quotes for the same job is wide enough that there's clearly room for a better answer. Camera-based AI in 2024–25 finally got good enough to do the measuring. Tailor put it in production for residential trades in 2025.
